Anna Barrett

Anna Barrett is a New York City based actress, though she grew up in Newfoundland, Canada and will always be an islander at heart.

Most recently Anna played Maya in Ice Queen at 92NY, after returning from contract performing in a 3-person adaptation of A Christmas Carol with the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble. Anna was one of 3 performers to tackle over 50 characters challenging yet magical piece of theatre. This past summer Anna performed in Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), and Pinocchio (Pinocchio) in the 46th season of the Stephenville Theatre Festival. Credits from previous seasons include: Rock of Ages (Regina), Lucky Stiff (Landlady/Ensemble), Neverland (Wendy), 9 to 5 - The Musical (Featured Ensemble), 25th... Spelling Bee (Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre), and Snow White (Snow White).

Anna has recently graduated from Manhattan School of Music's Musical Theatre program (BM ‘24) and dived straight in to work! During her Senior year Anna played Bettina in Eric T. Johnson and Frankie Johnson's new musical The Hills Are Alive! (Dir. Evan Pappas, Choreo. Todd L. Underwood), and played Lieutenant Elizabeth Tilley in a reading of Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann's new musical Good Luck in Space (Dir. Meghan Finn). Other educational credits include: Ensemble in Urinetown (Dir. and Choreo. Banji Aborisade), Ellie Valle in Dave Malloy's new musical Don't Stop Me (Dir. Chloe Treat, Choreo. Mayte Natalio), and she was a swing in Missed: Connections (Dir. Catie Davis, Choreo. Banji Aborisade).

While at school Anna has enjoyed wearing many hats, some of which include Assistant Music Director She Loves Me (MD. David Loud), Assistant Director Forget Me Not (Dir. Catie Davis), and she also transcribed the music for a new musical For Madmen Only. Anna is known for her high work ethic and wide range of skills, having previously choreographed a production of Guys and Dolls, directed a High School choir, and taught a variety of dance classes for 10 years.
